Lori has been dedicated to the education industry since 1997. Having started her career as a teacher for eight years in the elementary education sector, she brings a unique perspective and background to the projects and clients MAAS Companies serves. She has led MAAS’ master planning division and has completed 12 educational master plans for California community colleges. Her experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the facilities development process—from the earliest stages of planning through the design, construction, and closeout of programs and projects.
Currently as President and CEO of the firm, she continues to take an active role with MAAS’ clients and works closely with administration and MAAS’ program managers to ensure the successful oversight and delivery of educational bond programs and municipal projects.
Mac has more than 30 years of experience in the design and construction industry, including 20 years with California community colleges and the University of California system, serving internal roles such as Program Manager and Director of Facilities. He has been with MAAS for nearly 17 years and currently provides executive-level management for all our District programs and community boards reflects MAAS’ skill in managing more than one bond program for a District.
Mac holds a certification from the South Coast Air Quality Management District(SCAQMD), serves on the Board of Directors at Service Plus Credit Union, and is a member of the Coalition of Adequate School Housing (CASH), Community College Facility Coalition (CCFC), and Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).
With a solid foundation in operational management and a comprehensive background spanning multiple industries, Bo brings over 20 years of diverse experience to the role of Vice President of Operations. His expertise encompasses supply chain management, logistics, manufacturing, finance, client service, marketing, and information technology, making him a versatile leader capable of driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
Throughout his career, Bo has consistently leveraged his extensive knowledge across various disciplines and has successfully spearheaded supply chain optimization projects to streamline operations and reduce costs. Furthermore, his financial acumen and experience in client service have been instrumental in developing strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance customer relationships. His ability to identify critical trends and leverage technology has facilitated the implementation of innovative solutions and the development of new revenue streams.
Bo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management and Operations and Certificate in International Finance from California State University, Long Beach. His education has enabled him to identify opportunities to improve critical processes and lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic change.
Fred Parker is an accomplished owner’s representative, project director, and construction management executive with more than 30 years’ experience leading, developing, and implementing all facets of program, project, and construction management for public and private capital programs. He brings an extensive background overseeing large complex programs/projects locally, nationally, and internationally. He leverages this expertise to inform MAAS’s growth strategies as well as cultivating existing and new client relationships.
Fred holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management and Finance from the University of Jos in Plateau, Nigeria as well as a California General Building License. He is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) where he served on the U.S. Army Corp Committee and Government Affairs Subcommittee.
Chris has been in the design and construction industry for over 35 years. He brings
seasoned architectural, project, and construction management experience having
worked for educational and medical institutions, building owners, and developers
to complete projects ranging in value from $50,000 to $70M.
As an accomplished architectural and interior designer, Chris has taught university
level courses in design, code analysis, and building systems and has mentored
many students on their path to becoming competent professionals. He has brought
these same leadership skills in mentoring and communication into the business
arena guiding and building teams at various levels. He creates environments of
open and effective communication among team members and executive
management.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from California State University, San
Luis Obispo and is a California licensed architect, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), and Certified In-Person Professional CM (PCM) Trainer from the Construction
Management Association of America (CMAA).
Over the past 15 years, Cal has been extensively involved with new and emerging technologies that enable unique user and customer experiences in various markets. As Vice President Platform, Cal oversees and works alongside our team to fulfill our long-term product vision and strategy. He has deep technical knowledge with a keen eye for design and a strong ability to engage and inspire teams.
Prior to joining MAAS, Cal held various leadership roles in emerging and growth-stage companies across the commercial & industrial (C&I), business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C), residential development/ construction, and software industries.
Cal holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management of Innovation & Technology and Energy Risk Management from University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Technology from Southwestern Louisiana University.
Robert is an Architect and Project Manager with 25 years of industry experience and a proven record of balancing the variables that shape complex design and construction projects. His portfolio includes multiple award-winning projects across various commercial, residential, religious, and education types. He is accustomed to working directly with public and private clientele and excels at managing large, complex teams of consultants and staff. He loves the challenge of managing priorities and finding the best solutions to the unique problems that arise only in building and improving the world around us.
Robert is known for his project management, design, and construction administration skills, as well as his expertise in digital tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Microsoft Project and Excel along with various design media software technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and is a certified Design-Build Professional® by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).
Penny brings 21 years leading teams to the completion of K-14 bond programs and projects. She is a valued and well-respected team leader who works in collaboration with District staff, federal and state agencies, Governing Boards, and Citizen Oversight Committees to successfully deliver capital construction programs. With nearly 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Penny has been responsible for all phases of program and project management for new construction and modernization projects, from initial conceptualization through planning, design, construction, and close-out.
Penny holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in both Management and Marketing from Mount Mercy University and her education along with her expertisein program controls ensures programs and projects have the required processes in place to keep the program on track and exceed client expectations.
Eduardo has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of capital construction projects, including pre-planning, design, construction, closeout, and facilities maintenance/operations. He brings a background in architecture and construction, and his program management expertise encompasses multi-year planning and construction programs for new and modernized K-12 and community college districts. Often working on multiple projects on multiple sites, Eduardo collaboratively engages stakeholders and district administrators to provide insightful and innovative recommendations throughout the project process while overseeing and inspiring projects teams.
Eduardo holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from the University of California, Berkley and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management from Golden Gate University as well as a California General Building License. He is amember of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Giberto has over 13 years of industry experience and is an organized and enthusiastic program and project manager and civil engineer. He has led architectural, engineering, and construction teams on a wide range of project types in commercial, educational, and residential markets. He is focused on green building practices and LEED Core Concepts and their beneficial impact on the built environment.
Gilberto holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkley and is a certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design(LEED) Green Associate by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Ric is a senior construction industry leader with more than 25 years of experience spanning the fields of architecture, program and project management, and facilities management. He has a distinguished career leading high net-worth and high-profile national and international initiatives on behalf of well-known entertainment companies as well as managing capital improvement bond programs for several California school districts.
Ric holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and is a California registered architect and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP TM) by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Ryan has nearly 20 years of design, program, project, and construction management experience and is well versed in navigating and working with state agencies, local governments, and utility providers. He has leveraged his expertise in delivery of complex projects in excess of $200M. Ryan excels in unifying project teams to achieve the focused goals of our clients and has led architectural and construction teams for educational and municipal projects.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from Woodbury University School of Architecture and is passionate about green and sustainable methods &technologies.
