Investing in scholars
We believe education is the cornerstone of a thriving community. That’s why we sponsor scholarships across the districts where we work. We’re proud to support these scholars, helping them navigate the challenges of education and empowering them to achieve their academic and career goals. By investing in students, we’re not just contributing to their education—we’re helping to build the next generation of leaders who will continue to strengthen our communities.
Cypress College Foundation Golf Classic
We sponsor the annual Cypress College Foundation Golf Classic that funds student scholarships, book loans, emergency assistance, faculty grants, endowment development, and more.
Fullerton College Veterans Golf Classic
Each year MAAS sponsors the tournament, which supports scholarships awarded based on academic performance as well as emergency funds for military-connected students at Fullerton College. Emergency funds are used to meet critical needs to help student veterans stay enrolled and complete their degree or certificate.
Oceanside Chamber Foundation’s Rising Star
We support the Oceanside Chamber Foundation’s Rising Star Student of the Month Program, which aims to champion students that have overcome significant challenges in their lives while managing to keep on track with their education. All students who are recognized as Rising Stars are invited to apply for the Rising Star Scholarship.
San Diego Mesa College Foundation
MAAS was a sponsor for the Spirit of Mesa, San Diego Mesa College Foundation’s signature event, which raises funds to provide critically needed scholarships to students, support the success of over 5,000 students through grant-making, and distribute emergency funds to those at risk of dropping out.
Dr. Michael Maas Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Over the past 10 years, this scholarship has supported over 20 Riverside Community College District students excelling in math or science, helping them pursue their educational goals. This scholarship honors Dr. Michael Maas, our founder, whose legacy of dedication to education and community development continues to inspire us.
Guardian Scholars Program
One of our most meaningful partnerships is with the Guardian Scholars Program at Cypress College. This initiative provides scholarships, mentoring, and essential support services to college students who have aged out of the foster care system.
Holiday of Hope
In partnership with a community organization and Oceanside Unified School District, MAAS was a sponsor of this event that unites the community, families, and local organizations. The principal at each of the 23 schools District each selects a family, and they are gifted with a special dinner and gifts to celebrate the holiday season.
A Harvest for Education
It was our pleasure to sponsor this fundraising event that gathered the community together to support the Foundation for Firebaugh-Las Deltas Unified Schools, a non-profit organization with a focus on funding new and innovative educational programs and efforts for K-12 students.
Future Farmers of America (FFA) Breakfast at the Farm
MAAS was a sponsor for this unique event that raised funds to emphasize the role agriculture plays in the San Joaquin Valley community and showcase the innovations in farming to the local youth. FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
City of San Joaquin’s Fall Fest
MAAS was a proud sponsor of this annual community event featuring a pumpkin patch, local food vendors, a tractor pull, Tractor Pull Queen Coronation, and more. It is the City’s premier fundraiser for youth activities.
