MAAS Companies and California Construction Management, in a joint venture, were selected by Oceanside Unified School District in February 2019 to provide program and construction management services for the $195M Proposition H Bond Program. Originally passed in June 2008, the bond funds are being utilized to fund facility improvements and modernizations for many of the schools across the 29-campus district. Work includes to replacement of deteriorated plumbing, sewer, and roofing systems; renovation of student restrooms; improvements to schools, playground safety, and security; upgrades or replacements of outdated electrical, heating/ventilation systems, and aging portable classrooms.
In 2020, the $160M Measure W was passed to upgrade classrooms for science, technology, engineering, arts, math instruction; address school earthquake, fire, health, and safety standards; modernize computers and technology; and repair or replace deteriorating roofs, plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems. In addition to services, MAAS is supporting the District with its proprietary program/project management software, ForSitePro, to manage both project and financial data for the proposed projects.
