Program Management
MAAS provides comprehensive
program management services
for its clients. In these relationships,
MAAS acts as the "owner's
representative." The firm operates out
of an on-site facilities development
office and coordinates the hiring of
construction managers, architects,
engineers and other professionals. In
all instances, MAAS is an
extension or augmentation of District
facilities development staff, and is
tasked with looking out for the best
interests of its client.
Our program management staff members include
construction professionals, planners, construction
finance professionals, architects, cost estimators and
engineers. In the role of program manager, the firm
has saved Districts millions of dollars in their capital
construction programs, expedited projects, reduced
change orders and ensured compliance with regulatory
and statutory requirements.
MAAS also provides construction financial reporting and management
support. A major challenge for all facilities development
programs is financial tracking and reporting. This is
especially true when there are multiple funding sources,
such as a local bond and State funding. In 2004, the
firm developed a web-based software tool called
PROMPT.ed™, to track capital construction finances.
The program provides construction professionals
easy access to the information they need. It also
provides real-time management reports that assist in
making critical decisions. PROMPT.ed™ has been successfully
deployed and implemented on several community
college construction programs, increasing efficiency,
regulatory compliance and transparency. MAAS has in-house technology professionals who
created and continue to support and improve the
PROMPT.ed™ system.
